Installinggarage door hinges. Temporarily screw the hinge jamb in place by driving two 8 3 inch drywall screws through it. Align a hinge in 1 of the corners and in the center of the panel then screw them in place. Place the second panel on top of the first one. One hinge is located 7 inches from the top of the door frame and the other hinge is located 11 inches from the bottom of the door frame.
Most doors require a minimum of two hinges. Screw cable brackets to the door to secure the weather stripping. Use impact driver to mount hinges to the bottom panel of garage door. Place your hinges in the correct location.
Find new rollers and hinges here. To install the new garage door hinges tap the hinge bolts through the bolt holes preferably from the outside. One about 2 inches above the top hinge and the other about 2 inches from the center hinge. Check that the door jamb on the hinge side is plumb and shim as necessary.
Once you re happy with the placement use a pencil to mark where the holes are to attach the hinge. Very easy to do. It should be placed several inches in from the edge. Insert rollers into the brackets attached to the door.
Then you can take a hammer and tap the hinge bolt releasing the hinge. Loosen the screws if necessary to bring the jamb back into plumb. Stand the bottom door panel on the floor in the garage doorway. Attach weather stripping to the bottom edge of garage door. Locate the flat horizontal surface of your garage door panel. Leave the nut on the end of the unscrewed bolt to protect it while tapping it out.
Once tapped in tighten the nut.
